Mullen Chooses Amalto Technologies for e-Invoicing

We are proud to announce that the Mullen Group has chosen Amalto's customized solution for the oil and gas industry, the PIDX b2box® for e-invoicing. Mullen is the largest provider of specialized transportation and related services to the oil and natural gas industry in western Canada and is one of the leading suppliers of trucking and logistics services in Canada. Mullen's Oilfield services segment provides Drilling Services, Specialized Services, Production Services and Drilling Related Services. Its Trucking and Logistics segment offers a diversified range of truckload and less-than-truckload general freight services.

Each Mullen business unit is operated as an independent subsidiary and is provided with capital, centralized banking, payroll and Benefit Services and Information Technology by the core group.

Mullen submits 40,000-50,000 invoices per year and needed to automate their invoice submission process, particularly to customers behind trading hubs like ADP’s Open Invoice (“DO2”) and Cortex. The current process in place was time-consuming and required re-keying of invoice data into the trading hubs’ portal interface.

Amalto’s solution will automate this process promising a very significant and rapid ROI as a result of reducing FTEs, eliminating errors, and reducing DSO so valuable capital can be put to work. A particular Mullen BU has been chosen as the first to be automated with the strategic intent, as its operations software package will be rolled out to more BU’s over time ensuring maximum reusability of prior automation components.
With efficient deployment and ease of maintenance, scalability, cost effectiveness being important criteria and given great depth of experience with similar oilfield services companies, Amalto turned out to be the right choice for Mullen.
