Houston, Texas – December 3, 2013 – Amalto Technologies, a leading provider of business-to-business integration and electronic document exchange services for the oil and gas industry, today announced that Mullen Group has signed up to receive Amalto’s e-invoicing solution for its PeBen and Withers business units with plans for more to come.
Mullen Group is a leading provider of transportation and logistics services to the oil and natural gas industry in western Canada. The service extension expands an initial contract awarded in 2011 to support three of Mullen’s business units.
“We adopted Amalto’s e-Business Cloud solution a couple of years ago at a time when one of our top priorities was to streamline our administrative functions,” said Mullen Group IT director, Dwayne Sweany. “Our company, which is made up of 26 business units, yields a large amount of outgoing invoices and field tickets, and it was imperative that we standardize on a scalable, automated billing process that could be easily rolled out over time.”
Amalto’s fully managed e-Business Cloud solution – complete with requirements gathering, business process analysis, design, implementation and ongoing monitoring and support – is integrated with Mullen’s primary Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and will facilitate e-invoice exchanges with many high-spend, high-volume customers equaling thousands of invoice transactions each day.
“Since implementing Amalto’s automated e-invoicing solution, we have lowered our transaction costs, reduced our Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improved the accuracy of our invoice data,” said Mullen Group CFO, Stephen Clark.
Amalto’s e-Business Cloud solution operates seamlessly with any back-office accounting system or ERP as well as with all major e-commerce marketplaces and hubs. Additionally, the solution is flexible to accommodate a variety of formats, transport protocols and business document types such as invoices, purchase orders, quotes and field tickets.
“Mullen’s decision to expand the e-Business Cloud solution across additional business units is testament to the significant benefits and ROI that are achieved through e-invoice automation,” said Amalto CEO, Jean-Pierre Foehn. “We look forward to our continued partnership with Mullen and to what the future holds with expanding the solution even further amongst other business units.”
Today, Amalto has successfully connected with approximately 90 percent of the leading U.S.-based exploration and production operators.
