Peak Energy Services Trust is a diversified energy services organization providing oil field equipment and related services to the energy industry in western Canada and the mid-western USA. The Trust provides drilling and production services in the conventional oil and natural gas industry as well as the oil sands regions of western Canada. With 2009 sales of $109.7 million, Peak has experienced significant growth by acquiring complementary service companies, integrating services and diversifying product lines.


Peak was committed to delivering PIDX invoices over AS2 to ConocoPhillips within a tight project timeline. In order to handle the PIDX/AS2 connection, Peak selected a third party provider but this vendor was unable to deliver a timely or satisfactory solution. Peak decided to change provider and selected Amalto, but with the same aggressive target go-live date.

Peak had rejected B2B Gateway of a well-known industry leading service company with an established Trading Partner Network.


The b2box, Amalto’s stand-alone Connectivity Solution for integrated B2B exchanges, was configured within a matter of days and deployed at highly competitive price. Equipped with pre-configured adapters, there is no integration needed at the client’s end; they are shielded from all complexity. Additionally, remote operational monitoring of the b2box is provided by Amalto freeing up any resource commitments from the client on this account.


Project delivered within a month of kick-off date. Connecting ConocoPhillips was just the first step, additional customers and suppliers are being seamless connected in a matter of days.
